Owen McCabe is Astra’s Chief Compliance Officer and Executive Vice President. He focuses on portfolio management, investment research, manager research, and due diligence, reporting, analytics, and bookkeeping. He makes sure that all of the products and offerings Astra offers meet rigorous compliance requirements. He enjoys working with clients at Astra to help them be in the best possible position for the future. 

Before coming to Astra, Owen worked at Halcon Resources (now Battalion Oil & Gas) in  Property Accounting and at UHY LLP (now BDO) as a Senior Auditor. He earned a B.S. in Business – Accounting from Texas A&M University. He has a masters degree in Accountancy from the University of Houston. He is also a Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®).

Outside of work, Owen and his wife Ashley spend time with their 3 young children, Isla, Lainey, and Wells, and their dog, Cosmo. He also enjoys traveling, cooking, and rooting for the Aggies.
